Dr. Darin Treleaven

Dr. Darin Treleaven received his MD from McMaster University. Residency training was completed at McMaster University in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He completed an MSc. in Health Research Methodology at McMaster University. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine and a staff nephrologist at St. Joseph’s Healthcare. His clinical work is in pre and post-kidney transplant. He is the Head of Service for Nephrology and the Medical Director of Transplantation at St. Joseph’s Healthcare. His research interest is in Kidney Donor health and has been a co-investigator in the DONOR research network since its inception.

Research

The long-term health of kidney donors. A prospective cohort of donors followed for major clinical outcomes after kidney donation. Principal investigator is Dr. Amit Garg from the University of Western Ontario.
