Dr. Anna Mathew received her MD from University of Toronto, and then completed clinical training in Internal Medicine and Nephrology from Western University. She obtained an MPH specializing in Quantitative Methods from Harvard University. She is currently Associate Professor of Medicine at McMaster University, staff nephrologist at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Co-Medical Director of Hemodialysis. Dr. Mathew’s clinical interests include chronic kidney disease, hemodialysis, resistant and secondary hypertension, and obstetrical nephrology. Her research interests lie in mixed methods study design, by using qualitative study paired with large database analysis to understand and improve clinical outcomes in patients on maintenance hemodialysis.
